Secret
Something’s floating in the air
You know that it’s there
Just don’t know what it is
As if a ghost stood by your chair
And whispered in your hair
It’s voice, a scary little buzz
And it’s setting you off balance
Like they pulled away the floor
Like you’ve eaten something funny
Still, you’d bet even money that you
Felt this way before
When there was a secret
It feels like a secret
Is there a secret?
So now your dress is fitting wrong
Your breath has gotten strong
You wish this craziness would go
‘Cause fear is coming on
Like a tear that rips along
Splitting what you think from what you know
And it’s setting you off balance
Like they pulled away the floor
Like you’ve eaten something funny
Still you’d bet even money that you
Felt this way before
When there was a secret
This feels like a secret
What is the secret?
Does it have to do with
Him and you
Or is this just some ancient fear?
If you got to chose between this feeling
Or the blues, you think
You’d rather lose a few tears
Than live in a secret
What feels like a secret
(Tell me the secret)
